Curtains are the one item we handle that you can't simply hand over at the door. Somebody has to come inside, get up a ladder, unhook every panel, and then return to put it all back on the rod. What we usually find in flats along the Sohna Road corridor is two very different sets of fabric in one home. Road-facing sheers in the living room, which hold traffic dust long before they look dirty, and blackout panels in the bedrooms, where the lining is doing the real work and reacts nothing like a sheer does. Heavy drapes are a third case again. We sort by construction, not by room, and we label and photograph as we take down so eyelets, hooks and pinch-pleat panels go back exactly where they came from.

Timing here is driven mostly by tenancies. Sector 49 and the condominiums around it — Uniworld Gardens, Nirvana Country and similar — turn over a lot of young families and renting professionals, and curtains get booked at handover, by outgoing tenants and by landlords preparing a flat. Diwali brings the other rush. Either way we can work room by room, so the flat never feels khaali (bare) while panels are with us.

Before we unhook anything we check the rod and brackets and tell you if a fitting is already loose, because our curtain cleaning policy is clear that pre-existing weak fixtures aren't something we can take responsibility for. Panels are counted with you at the door, packed separately from every other order, and acknowledged with a written receipt.
