A settled sector's weekly basket

The housing here is independent plots with families on the lower floors and tenants above, and the everyday load is the classic one: cottons, kurtas, school and office wear, bedsheets and towels. What makes it work is consistency — the same collection day each week, the same count at the door both ways, the same written receipt at pickup. Most households here move to a fixed weekly slot after the first couple of orders, and that is easier for everyone than booking each time.

Pressing is where the difference shows. A cotton kurta, a formal shirt and a synthetic saree want three different heat settings, and treating them as one pile is how a fabric gets glazed or scorched. That is set per item, not per load.

Festive wear and the seasonal jobs

Four or five times a year this sector sends something else entirely: sarees, lehengas, sherwanis and suits before a function. Those are dry-cleaning and hand-attention jobs, and the embellished ones — zari, beadwork, sequins — are checked for anything already loose at pickup so you hear about it from us beforehand rather than discover it afterwards.
