The heavy items

Carpets and rugs are the job people remember us for in Sector 76. They come out for a clean once a year, usually at the end of winter, and they are awkward, heavy and easy to ruin. We roll them, take them, clean them, dry them fully and bring them back. Quilts and blankets are the same story on the same calendar.

Because there are often three generations in the flat, we also see more hand-finished clothing than in the younger sectors nearby: sarees, silk kurtas, shawls, dupattas with work on them. Those go through dry cleaning with the work inspected first, and we tell you at the door if we think a piece is fragile. Nobody gains from us accepting a saree we are not confident about, so if the answer is no, you get the no straight away.

Shawls and heavy woollens follow the same seasonal pattern as the bedding. They come out of storage in October and go back in around March, and both journeys are a good moment to have them cleaned properly rather than aired on a balcony.

Everyday running

Underneath the seasonal work is a steady weekly family wash, which is a lot of cotton. We use eco-friendly detergents on it, and ironing comes back on hangers rather than folded flat into a bag.

Whatever the order, our person counts every piece at your door, writes it down, notes anything already damaged and gives you the receipt before leaving. Doorstep pickup and delivery are free right across Gurugram.
