Dust, distance and what that does to clothes

Collars go grey faster this side. Shoes take grit. Bag straps and belts get a film on them that a wipe will not shift. So along with the ordinary wash and ironing, Sector 80 sends us a steady stream of shoes and accessories, and those are cleaned as separate jobs with the right process for the material rather than being thrown in with the shirts.

The regular laundry is straightforward: work clothes, everyday cottons, towels and bedding, washed with eco-friendly detergents and pressed. Most households out here batch it up for the weekend, and that suits us fine.

Seasonal bedding is the other big one. Blankets and quilts get put away and taken out at fixed points in the year, and neither end of that is a job for a flat machine. Send them in one go and they come back dry all the way through, not just dry on the outside.

Distance is our problem, not yours

Sector 80 is a fair drive from our workroom and people ask whether that is a catch. It is not. Doorstep pickup and delivery are free everywhere in Gurugram, this sector included. The van runs this route anyway.

Your clothes are handled at Wash4You Arcadia in Sector 49. Every pickup is counted at your door, piece by piece, with anything already stained or damaged noted on a written receipt you keep. When we have seen the load, we tell you which day it comes back.
